
Teri Lynn Hatcher is the daughter of Teri Hatcher, born in Palo Alto California on December 8th, 1964. Her mother Esther was a Lockheed Martin computer programmer, while her father Owen was an electrical engineer, nuclear physicist. Teri was raised by Esther. Teri trained in ballet at San Juan School of Dance and was raised in Sunnyvale. She attended Fremont High School, where she was captain of the Featherettes dance team. She was named "Most likely to be a Solid Gold Dancer." Hatcher graduated with a degree in math and engineering from De Anza College after which she studied acting in the San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Teri disclosed that she had suffered sexual abuse from her uncle Richard Hayes Stone, beginning at age five. she helped Santa Clara County prosecutors with their case against him after a victim aged 14 of Stone's died by suicide. Stone was sentenced to prison for four counts of molestation. Stone passed away from colon cancer while in prison.
